

Amlan gets new Ambulance
Amlan (Negros Oriental) Municipal Mayor Bentham P. de la Cruz turned over an ambulance to the Municipal Rural Health Unit department recently to boost the delivery of basic health services to the local populace.
The brand new ambulance unit poses as a “walking hospital”, as it is equipped with medical supplies, and trained personnel providing health care to local folks who need medical attention.
The vehicle, turned in on April 30 is aimed to transport sick or injured patients under emergency circumstance for first aid treatment or toward the nearest hospital for the cure certain illnesses.
Mayor de la Cruz said, “this ambulance is not owned by the Local Government of Amlan but this is for all of us, so let’s take good care of this vehicle.”
Moreover, all Amlanganons who need emergency medical assistance should be aware that the service vehicle is free of charge”.
“We are so blessed for having a new ambulance in our municipality through the effort of our active Mayor Bentham P. de la Cruz. Through this additional vehicle more patients will be easily transported to a nearby clinic or hospital for medication and to care for victims during disasters and emergency situations.” Dra. Amahit, Amlan Municipal Health Officer added.
One more ambulance will be turned over to the municipality soon while an old unit has been operational the past few years now. Hence, a total of three ambulance units will be working for the local residents of Amlan in due time.
